Carving:

The interior of the teapot is painted with vivid pine trees and ancient people admiring the distance from a boat.

The exterior is engraved with the phrase "壶上春秋志,茶中日月长" (A teapot records the changes of spring and autumn, while tea accompanies the cycle of day and night) with a strong and powerful style.

Materials:

Xiaomeiyao Zhu Ni is a precious type of purple clay, with high shrinkage and high slurry content. After firing, high-grade ore will show wrinkles. Although the surface of the pot looks flat, there are many fine and closely natural shrinkage flow patterns on the side, which is known as "No wrinkle, no Zhu".

Teapot Shape:

The Chun Lu Teapot is one of the popular teapot styles during the late Qing Dynasty. It embodies superb craftsmanship and rich cultural connotations. It has the solemnity and stability of bronze ware, and is a model of square and circle coexisting. When viewed from the side, the teapot body is round and when viewed from above, it appears square. This reflects the Taoist principle of integrating heaven and earth into a square and circle. The three-curve spout is short and thick, the handle is round with square sides, and the four legs are separated like a tripod. The whole teapot is elegant, powerful, and dignified.

YANG Fei 杨菲, National Master of Arts and Crafts, level 3 (awarded 9 Dec 2021) 

Born in 1990 in Dingshu Town, Yixing City, she is reserved in speech but agile in action, and has been dedicated to the art of teapot making for more than ten years.

She studied under Senior Master of Arts and Crafts (level 2), Gu Shunfang, and under her mentorship, her skills have improved and her personal style has emerged. Her works are characterized by simple and concise lines, a simple and dignified shape, profound charm, and an emphasis on using changes in lines to express the beauty of the teapot.

紫砂泥料

小煤窑朱泥是紫砂朱泥中的珍贵品种,因收缩比高和含浆量高的原因,高目数的矿土烧结之后会呈现皱纹,粗看壶的表面是平整的,但细看侧面却有许多微细紧密自然收缩的流淌纹理,这就是所谓的“无皱不朱”。

壶型

传炉是清末时期较为流行的壶式之一。

其集制作工艺高超、文化蕴涵浓厚于一身。它有着炉壶有着青铜器般的威严与稳重,是方中有圆,圆中寓方的典范,似方似圆的式度:

自侧而视,壶身浑圆,

俯而视之,形为四方,

似将天地方圆的道理寄寓其中。

三弯壶流粗短,环把圆中带方,四足如鼎分立;整器古朴典雅,曲线强劲有力,浑厚端正。
