Fu Lu Shuang Zhi — A Symbol of Blessings & Togetherness
Designed by Xiu Guangming (修光明), Fu Lu Shuang Zhi is an original contemporary Chinese porcelain design formed from two individual tea cups.
When stacked together, the two cups create the silhouette of a traditional Chinese hulu (葫芦) — a form long associated with Fu Lu (福禄), blessings and prosperity.
More importantly, the pair represents two becoming one.
That makes the piece particularly meaningful for weddings, anniversaries, couples and significant family occasions — not simply as a pair of tea cups, but as an object carrying the idea of harmony, companionship and enduring union.
More Than One Meaning
The design can be arranged in different ways, each carrying a different auspicious expression.
Used separately, the two cups represent a pair.
Stacked together, they become a complete hulu, symbolising 福禄双至 — blessings and prosperity arriving together.
This duality is what gives the work its charm: it functions as tea ware, yet also works naturally as a symbolic decorative object.
From the 2024 BRICS Official Gift Series
Fu Lu Shuang Zhi was selected as an official designated gift associated with the 2024 BRICS events in Russia.
The series was created within the Shang Xi Guo Ci (上玺国瓷) cultural gift programme, positioning contemporary Chinese porcelain as a medium for presenting Chinese ideas of Fu (福), harmony and cultural exchange.
For collectors, this background gives the work a stronger identity than an ordinary commercially produced porcelain cup set.
The Warm Red Edition
This edition is made in Jingdezhen, China, with a warm red exterior contrasted against a clean white interior.
The actual colour is softer and more restrained than it appears under strong photographic lighting — closer to a warm, elegant red rather than a brilliant scarlet.
Its restrained palette makes it especially suitable for wedding and anniversary gifting without appearing overly festive or seasonal.

两个独立茶杯上下组合后，形成完整的葫芦造型。葫芦谐音“福禄”，双杯又寓意成双、和合、相伴，特别适合作为新婚、周年及重要关系的纪念礼物。
暖红版本产自景德镇，外壁色泽温润，实物比照片中的鲜红更柔和；内壁洁白，红白相映。
