A Certified Jingdezhen Figure Work from 2003

Created in 2003, Lu Fei Tu (鹿妃图) is a large-format porcelain vase by Jingdezhen ceramic artist Yu Shaoshi (余少石).

The composition brings together an elegant female figure and a group of deer across the substantial porcelain body. Delicate figure painting, expressive faces and the contrasting forms of the deer give the work a strong presence when viewed as a complete display piece.

At the traditional Jingdezhen 200-Jian (200件) size, this is not a small cabinet object. It was created to be seen within a room.

Original Certificate

The work retains its original Certificate of Celebrity Masterpiece (名人作品证书) issued by the Ceramic Art Institute of Jingdezhen Ceramic College.
